Disappears Do Radio K Session

While on the tour supporting both Times New Viking and Deerhunter, Disappears, the minimalist nu-gazers, stopped by Minneapolis college radio station Radio K to lay down a session which you can here here. Songs performed include: "Gone Completely," "Hearing Things,"

Like Lou Reed fronting My Bloody Valentine, Chicago's Disappears craft reverb-heavy rock that leans heavily toward the distorted wall of sound of Kevin Shields' newly reformed group, while retaining Reed's lyrically incisive wit. Dissapears have been releasing a steady stream of virtual singles via their blog (not unlike Bradford Cox, for whom Dissapears will open when Deerhunter rolls into town). Listen to "Old Friend" at the top of the post.
