Like Lou Reed fronting My Bloody Valentine, Chicago's Disappears craft reverb-heavy rock that leans heavily toward the distorted wall of sound of Kevin Shields' newly reformed group, while retaining Reed's lyrically incisive wit. Dissapears have been releasing a steady stream of virtual singles via their blog (not unlike Bradford Cox, for whom Dissapears will open when Deerhunter rolls into town).
