Walter Meego's 2008 debut Voyager had a lot of pop-techno charms, not the least of which were Heineken beer approved Forever and disco anthem "Girls". It's the latter that gets the remix from techno deity Don Diablo, and it's pretty much as remix-y as you might expect. Diablo uses the hook of "Girls" as a jumping off point for some rad rave electronica. Listen to it at the top of the post.

Off all of the techo-pop songs on Walter Meego's debut album Voyager, "Forever: seems especially suited for the remix treatment. Perhaps its the anthemic chorus, or the anime-ready synths, or just the freewheeling atmosphere of fun. Point is, there's a certain je nois se quoi about "Forever", even if its one of the least interesting songs on the album (in comparison to tracks like "Through A Keyhole"). Van She Tech are the latest group of remixers to take a crack at "Forever", and, in the process of trying to create something new, add some interesting polyrhthms and textures to the track. Now, I realize this commercial is old hat, but I recently conducted an interview with Walter Meego's Justin Sconza for Chicago Innerview in which he admitted to me that he has not actually seen this commercial. Needless to say, I thought that was very interesting. So I'd thought I'd dig it up.
