The Hold Steady to Release DVD Documentary, Live Album Recorded at The Metro
Download: The Hold Steady - "Chips Ahoy!"
A Positive Rage may sound like an oxymoron, but when that phrase is spoken in the context of The Hold Steady's live show, it surely will refer to the incredible, joyous experience that is the band in concert. Come April 7th, listeners will be able to take a documentation of The Hold Steady's live show home with them. A Positive Rage is the title of the band's first live album, and with it's a double-disc affair.
In addition to the live record, which was recorded at Chicago's Metro on their 2007 Halloween show (oh yes), Rage will also include a DVD documentary. The 57-minute doc details the band's tour during 2006, when Boys and Girls in America was blowing up. Furthermore, the band will include five new tracks on the set: “Ask Her For Adderall,” “Cheyenne Sunrise,” “Two Handed Handshake,” and the previously unreleased tracks “Spectres” and “40 Bucks.”
