Smashing Pumpkins Documentary To Get Theatrical Release

Via NME:

A documentary filmed during Smashing Pumpkins’ 2007 residencies is set to get a release in movie theatres across the US next month.

"If All Goes Wrong" was shot when the band performed over 19 nights in Asheville, NC and San Francisco, CA last year and features interviews with the band’s own Billy Corgan, musicians such as The Who’s Pete Townshend and fans.

The movie will be shown in movie theatres for one day only on November 6 in 40 cities across the US, and will be released five days later on DVD. The DVD will include six new songs, recorded at the San Francisco shows.

No word on what cities those screenings will take place, but we suspect that Chicago will be one of them. Either that, or the movie will show at The Venue first, and then Chicago proper will get just half of the real film.
